I hope you will post soon about the Denisovan ancestry paper out recently with results for Jomon and Tianyuan ancient DNA samples (among many others). How does that jibe with other work? Looking forward to your elucidation!
I did talk about this paper briefly in my podcast with Chris Stringer, it's hard to know what to make of it considering the small sample, but it is intriguing.
This threw me a curve … how could I have missed such a podcast?!? But of course I had listened to the triumvirate of you, Dr. Stringer, and Razib Khan. I shall have to go listen again … maybe I was anticipating some potentially flinty&steely remarks on Chinese fossil data retention, and missed the Jomon/Tianyuan mention. ;-)
I tried to ‘second’ the comment that you fine gentlemen should do a quarterly review podcast, but Substack disallowed it.
